Looking for a new story to read to your children? Here are three delightful tales to choose from.
Rat
- This is my adaptation of a traditional Chinese folk tale
The One I Feed- I came upon this
wonderful story by Vickie Smith on a peace email list and it has become quite
famous now. You may have read shortened versions, but this is the complete
original. I have written a little song to go with it.
The Fairy at the Top of
the Christmas Tree - This was given to me by a woman I met in Sydney at
a Druid Workshop around 1991. She found out I was a storyteller and rattled
this story off at me. I said “Oh could you tell me again?” She
did. I said “Um, do you think you could you tell me one more time?”
She said “What’s your address, I’ll write it down for you.”
This was a big thing as the story had been passed down by word of mouth for
generations in her family, but she encouraged me to pass it along. Hope you
and your family enjoy this unusual angle on the history of Christmas. She
only gave her name as Morgan- a good pagan name!
